The trouble with Gocco

Last week Alan gave me a submission form for the Leicester mini-print international. 10cmx10cm, all that alowed. Choice of current work = zodiac signs, shrines, small landscapes. Hmm! Nothing stands out and its £18 to enter so it got to be something I'm pretty sure of. I though some Gocco printed jewel, like beetles might do it for me. Only got two screens and four bulbs left, not much margin for error or experimentation. I WISH SOMEONE IN THE UK SOLD THIS STUFF!! Its gonna take 10 days t get anyhting sent from Japan via ebay. :-(

First printmaking session of the year

It was a slog to get up to Rossendale today, awful drving conditions all the there & back, worth it though, a productive day. Finished the latest dino plate, This year's must have bag" bit more layers of aquatint on the lizard plate and started work on an idea for the 'black plate' that Alan obliteratred for me before Xmas. He also gave me an entery form for the Leicester mini Print International, £18 to enter, they only want small prints, shrines maybe a possiblity.

New Year/New Show

Dropped off my disclaimer form at the egg gallery this week - looks like I'm in a show that kicks off at the end of March with about 4/5 other people. Won't hear about Wrexham submission for the touring show until next month, found a Liverpool thing to apply for too - less is more this year, I think. Still haven't made any new work, having confidence crisis. Thank God for positive comments on Flickr also still suffering from post Xmas indolence.
About the inherit a sewing machine, hope I can make some use of it other than meeting it on a dissecting table!!
